LA Galaxy winger Romain Alessandrini is the best finisher in MLS

And the league nerds can prove it

MLS: Los Angeles Galaxy at Orlando City SC Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

It took a few games for new Designated Player Romain Alessandrini to find his footing.

However, the Marseille import has fully delivered on expectations ever since, bagging a brace in Vancouver en route to scoring four blistering goals in the past three matches. What’s been particularly impressive about the winger’s strikes is the degree of difficulty required to put all four goals in the back of the net: Three blasts from around the top of the box and a brilliant solo effort.

And as it turns out, Alessandrini has been more than good. He’s the most lethal striker in the league.

Romain Alessandrini of the LA Galaxy has scored some incredible goals so far, four in total, and it's clear that he's threat to score as soon as he hits the field. While his four goals have not helped LA get off to a fast start, they have shown why the Galaxy were smart to acquire the Frenchman in the offseason.

He has scored his four goals despite his shots having an expected goals value of just 1.41. This means that based on the quality of his chances he would be expected to score 1.41 goals on average. The 2.59 difference between his goals and expected goals is the largest in MLS

Major League Soccer

So there you have it. Keep up the magnifique form, Romain!
