Former LA Galaxy forward Ignacio Maganto has signed for NHK Hadjuk Split of the Croatian first division.

Maganto, 24, was drafted by the LA Galaxy in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft and made a total of 13 appearances before being waived at the start of the 2016 preseason. Maganto also spent large periods of the 2015 season at LA Galaxy II in the USL.

Born in Madrid, Spain, Maganto spent his collegiate career at Iona College after spending five years at Getafe's youth system. At Iona, he received a number of honors, including NSCAA All-Northeast Region First Team, the ECAC All-Star First Team and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

Hadjuk Split are one of the most popular teams in Croatia and finished third in the 2015/2016 season, sealing a place in the Europa League second qualifying round. They have not won a league title since 2005, and their last major trophy was the Croatian Football Cup in 2013.
