We've gotten a report on what LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez will make as a Designated Player and the length of the contract. It's pretty solid as far as these things go, living up to it's name of third DP falling in behind Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan.
Hearing new Omar Gonzalez deal w/ @lagalaxy will pay him in excess of $1.5 million annually for next three seasons. Nice bump from $282,000

It is indeed a nice bump from the $282k that he was making previously, thought as I've said previously his mid-season DP status should limit just how big of an impact he'll have on the salary budget this year.
At three years, that's a significant lockup if Gonzalez indeed intends to stay through the duration. A.J. DeLaGarza is under contract through next season, so that'd keep the Galaxy's ideal center back pairing through to at least next season.
