Ahead of the LA Galaxy opening up the 2012 season with camp on Monday, it's time to review who is in and who is out. The Galaxy expect 16 returning players and five new acquisitions to practice with the team on Monday. This is reflected in the updated player in/out chart. Chris Birchall is now expected to return, although they have yet to put pen to paper on that.
In addition, all seven draft picks will be at camp, as well as trialists Bill Gaudette (a goalkeeper who played for the Columbus Crew, Puerto Rico Islanders and Montreal Impact) and defender J.T. Murray (a second round pick by Sporting Kansas City in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft).
As players return to camp from other obligations this chart will be updated, and will be split into Budget Roster and Non Budget Roster when the season begins (with those not returning dropping off. As best I can tell, there are only four open spots on the roster than those seven draft picks and two trialists are competing for.
