It took long enough, but it appears MLS veteran Sacha Kljestan is finally coming home.

The LA Times’ Kevin Baxter has gotten word that the LA Galaxy will sign the Huntington Beach native as a free agent, with an announcement expected this coming Monday. (Famously Bruce tried to bring Kljestan to LA but no dice)

What do we think of the move? Adding Kljestan is a positive step forward for the squad. Normally you would object to signing a 34-year old midfielder but the U.S. international excels at distributing the ball, a skillset in demand at Dignity Health Sports Park. And by acquiring Kljestan as a free agent, Dennis te Kloese and company didn’t give up anything in return.

There will be questions as to how much Kljestan has left in the tank after his playing time dropped considerably during the second half of the 2019 season. While Kljestan is probably no longer a 90 minute player, the attacking midfielder may still have the potential to make an impact as a starter or off the bench.
