LA Galaxy forward Gyasi Zardes rumored transfer target for Galatasaray

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

According to Turkish website SporX, Super Lig giants Galatasaray are ready to make a bid to sign LA Galaxy forward Gyasi Zardes.

Zardes, 24, is currently featuring for the United States National team in the Copa America Centenario, and as rumors go, this isn't the first time the Hawthorne native has been linked to a move away from Southern California.

Zardes recently signed a multi-year contact extension with the Galaxy in March, and he has been fundamental for Bruce Arena in the 2016 MLS Season, scoring four goals and notching four assists in just ten appearances.

Considering Galatasaray's less-than-stellar 2015/2016 season, where they finished sixth in the league table, it's not out of the question that Zardes could come and freshen up the squad. But all accounts suggest it is just a rumor for now.

In the past, Zardes was strongly linked with a move to Belgian Pro League Club KRC Genk, as well as English sides Reading and Brighton.
