LA Galaxy II started their road trip on Friday at the Peoria Sports Complex against Arizona United SC and came away with a 1-1 draw. Raul Mendiola opened the scoring in the 35th minute following a turnover in the midfield that sent Oscar Sorto streaking down the wing, Sorto cut the ball to the middle of the pitch to a wide open Mendiola who charged in and put a shot off the keeper's glove that found the back of the net. The lead would hold until the 65th minute. Paolo DelPicollo would score similarly to Mendiola, but with the crucial difference of having to beat a last defender with a cutback move before his shot. DelPicollo did well losing his marker and looping a shot over Cody Laurendi in net.

LA Galaxy II got their third win over the Orange County Blues of the 2014 USL PRO season with a 3-0 win on Sunday at Anteater Stadium at UC Irvine. For the third time this season, Los Dos put up three goals against the Blues, but this was the first shutout in LA Galaxy II's brief history. Gyasi Zardes, Travis Bowen and Rafael Garcia all scored for Los Dos. Garcia scored first on a free kick that found its way over the Blues' wall and past their keeper in the 33rd minute. Kenney Walker's well placed pass in the 50th minute put Bowen on against the goalie and Bowen had an easy time of the matchup. Zardes quickly turned after a change of possession in midfield in the 66th minute and made a run at three defenders and took a shot at the top of the box which dipped and bounced past the Blues keeper for the third goal.
