  • The big buzz this morning was Robbie Rogers training with the LA Galaxy, wearing Edson Buddle's former number which Buddle took back from Robbie Keane last year. Steve Davis wrote about how Robbie Rogers already broke the gay athlete barrier, and that some of the media's coverage made MLS out to be not so major. The invitation to come train with LA has been extended since the news broke, though currently the Chicago Fire hold his rights, acquired via trade with the Columbus Crew, with Rogers wasn't too pleased about.
  • The Daily Breeze had much to say on the Galaxy's depth starting to show. It's unfortunate that it wasn't in the Champions League that the depth showed up, but getting through the "injury time" that ever MLS team has to survive was certainly a large step up. The article has high praise for Brian Rowe's performance, and rightfully so.
  • Elsewhere in MLS, the Manchester City owning Abu Dhabi Sheik is said to be the front runner for MLS 20 team NY2, likely to be known as New York City FC playing their games in Queens next to Shea Stadium and the US Open Tennis Complex, on the site of the former World's Fair.
  • A bit here on Real Salt Lake participating in May the Fourth activities. The Galaxy will also be participating, as part of Revenge of the Fifth. There are scarves.
