MLS All Star Voting Begins Tomorrow; David Beckham, Landon Donovan on Ballot

Tomorrow, fans will be able to begin voting for the MLS All Star team that will face Chelsea in the MLS All Star Game on July 25th. The top six players from each team as voted on by the media will appear on the fan ballot, which can be found online at mlssoccer.com. The players with the highest combined votes will make up the MLS Starting XI.

The Galaxy ballot will comprise of:

GK: Josh Saunders

DEF: Todd Dunivant

MID: David Beckham, Landon Donovan, Juninho

FWD: Robbie Keane

Philadelphia Union coach Peter Nowak is in charge of the All Stars, and will ultimately chose the game day roster and the starting lineup. The rest of the roster will be filled out according to the collective bargaining agreement. Don Garber gets to make two selections, and the rest of the roster is voted on by the players.

The first XI will be announced at halftime of the match between the LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire July 8th broadcast on ESPN. The final list of 32 players (4 GK, 8 DEF, 13 MID, and 7 FWD) will be announced on MLSsoccer.com the day of the match.
