You’re probably aware of the new Los Angeles County mandate requiring outdoor mega events to require attendees to provide either proof of full COVID vaccine or a pre-entry negative COVID test taken within 72 hours, and that is now in effect for all LA Galaxy home games.
Everyone who attends Galaxy games aged 12 or over needs to present physical proof of one of those, along with matching photo IDs for attendees 18 and over. Saturday’s clash against the Portland Timbers at Dignity Health Sports Park is the first Galaxy home game since the requirement took effect.
In addition to the vaccine/negative test requirement, fans in attendance must still wear face masks at all times, except when actively eating or drinking. So don’t forget the mask, either.
Hopefully you are already vaccinated, but if you cannot get it for some reason, you can still get tested and attend if you’ve tested negative. Perhaps this will encourage a few more people to make it out to games, now that the local mandates have been strengthened. Above all, here’s hoping people stay safe.
