How to Watch LA Galaxy vs. Seattle Sounders: Lineups, odds, game thread

Lineups:

LA bring back Julian Araujo, in midfield, and the lineup is otherwise as you were:

Seattle start Will Bruin up top in place of the suspended Raul Ruidiaz:

The LA Galaxy get a fresh opponent for the 2020 MLS regular season Sunday, as they host the Seattle Sounders for the teams’ first meeting this season at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Both teams are coming off losses, the Galaxy reaching a point of concern with two straight losses and three consecutive poor performances. Can they arrest this slide with a better performance against the Sounders, or are they running themselves into the group after a hectic month? It’s a real concern, but hopefully Chicharito and Jonathan dos Santos can get a run of starts to find some rhythm in the lineup, and perhaps new signing Yony Gonzalez will be ready as soon as this game.

The Sounders are coming off a 1-0 loss themselves to the Portland Timbers, but the Sounders sit atop the Western Conference at present and have generally played like the best team in the conference in the local return to play. Having said that, Raul Ruidiaz is suspended for this game, and that will dull the Sounders’ multi-edged attack a bit.

So will the Galaxy find joy against a new opponent or will the wily Sounders keep LA down? This is going to be a great test for the Galaxy and we’ll be following along as we go here.

Odds:

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, as of Saturday evening, LA are (+145) while Seattle are (+165). The odds of a draw are also (+255), so the bookmakers think this is a tossup, basically, with the home side getting a slight advantage.

How to Watch:

Sunday’s match between LA and the Sounders will be televised locally on Spectrum SportsNet and in the rest of the country on ESPN+. The broadcast is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm PT with kickoff to follow.
