How to Watch LA Galaxy II vs. Sacramento Republic

Los Dos come home looking for another three points.

The LA Galaxy may be back on ice for at least a few weeks, but it’s still gamenight in the organization, as LA Galaxy II will be in action Saturday night, and at home for the first time in 2020.

Junior Gonzalez’s Los Dos squad is coming off a good 1-0 win over San Diego Loyal on the road last weekend, defender and captain Jesus Vazquez scoring the winner and marshaling the backline to a clean sheet on the road, and picking up a USL Championship Team of the Week nod in the process.

With two wins in three tries so far this season, all on the road, Los Dos are off to a good start this season, but their next opponent in Sacramento Republic, are another good test.

Sac Republic are coming off their first win of the season, a 1-0 victory at home over Reno 1868 last weekend, with Cameron Iwasa earning and scoring a second-half stoppage time penalty to win the game. That win was a big relief, as Sacramento are unbeaten to start the season, but the first two games were draws and coach Mark Briggs and the fanbase were expecting better than home draws.

These teams are built totally different, with Sac Republic fielding plenty of veterans and now bringing along some teenage prospects into the fold, and Los Dos obviously mostly players in their teens and early 20s. Will wily experience or youthful exuberance win out? I think this will be an interesting game, and we’ll find out soon enough.

Tale of the Tape:

LA Galaxy II: 6 points (2-1-0); Goal Difference: +1; Last three games: W-L-W

Sacramento Republic: 5 points (1-0-2), Goal Difference: +1; Last three games: W-D-D

How to Watch Los Dos vs. Sac Republic: The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm PT at Dignity Health Sports Park. You can watch the stream on ESPN+ throughout the United States
