Another talented member of the LA Galaxy academy has earned a promotion to the professional level.
Tuesday the club announced the signing of midfielder Adam Saldaña to Los Dos. The Panorama City native with 23 caps at the youth level recently starred at the U-17 CONCACAF Championship for the USA, contributing a goal and a assist while starting five matches: Rafeal Wicky’s team were unlucky as they outplayed Mexico but ended up losing 2-1 in the final.
“We are excited for Adam to begin his professional career with the LA Galaxy organization,” Galaxy GM Dennis te Kloese echoed in a statement. “He is a talented midfielder with great potential. Our club’s structure and vision allows young players like Adam to develop into top-rated talent. We are enthusiastic about his future within our club.”
The 17-year old should provide stiff competition to a Los Dos squad striving to enhance its quality. Good luck Adam!
The U.S. had Mexico pinned down for swathes of that 1st half and a big part of the reason was Adam Saldana. Look how he snuffs out this counterattack just by being alert and responsible. pic.twitter.com/XjagclpNut
