Usually we’re in agreement with the Power Rankings politburo, but not this week.
Fair enough: Losing four straight matches is enough for anyone to tumble down the rankings. However after grinding out a valuable road victory over Orlando City, you would expect the LA Galaxy to climb out of the No. 11 position. Not this week, as five other Western conference foes are ahead of LA with the Quakes nipping at their heels.
Let’s see how Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s group perform at Sporting Kansas City now that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back and has the chance to partner with playmaker Favio Alvarez.

Thank you, next. LA won in Orlando by the seat of their pants but a win is a win around this club these days. They’ve also got a pivotal double-game week, and it will be interesting to see if Zlatan Ibrahimovic can get back to business after sitting out the last two games.’
