The LA Galaxy conclude a brutal stretch of six games in 22 days on Saturday (1:00 PT, ESPN) with an afternoon matchup vs. a rested New York City FC team currently unbeaten in six.
What to watch
We were expecting Guillermo Barros Schelotto to rotate the starting XI for LA’s mid-week clash in Columbus, and were surprised to see just one change with the injured Diedie Traore making way for Jorgen Skjelvic.
LA’s central midfield trio were clearly gassed on the night, and to compound matters Jona dos Santos limped off the field with a hamstring tweak, albeit as a precautionary measure. It will be interesting to see what lineup the coaching staff puts out on Saturday.
Will Favio be available? As of noon the Galaxy’s newest attacking recruit is still waiting for his P1-Visa and International Transfer Certificate to clear.
Projected starting XI
TBA (Waiting on updates for Jona dos Santos, Favio Alvarez)
