The LA Galaxy and Minnesota United FC fought to a hard-earned scoreless draw in mid-week action at Allianz Arena.

The first half featured back and forth action. LA dominated the match in the opening 20 minutes or so with methodical possession while struggling to contain the Loons on the counter-attack. Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the best chance when he just missed a far post header with service from the excellent 17-year old Julian Araujo.
Eventually Minnesota would press the Galaxy and kept LA pinned in their box, but despite sustained pressure (and a near-miss from Ike Opara) the Galaxy pushed MNUFC back to keep the match scoreless.
The second half was defined by more of the same frantic but inefficient action from both sides. Tragically Araujo went down with a serious foot injury and had to be replaced by Giancarlo Gonzalez, unable to put any weight on the injury while hobbling off the field. At one point David Bingham was forced into stoning Angelo Rodriguez from close range, but thankfully the match ended in a scoreless 0-0 draw.
LA finish off a three game stretch this Sunday at home vs. Real Salt Lake.
