LA Galaxy at MNUFC match preview: What to watch, predicted starting 11 and TV schedule

Zlatan and company looking for six straight wins

MLS: New York City FC at Minnesota United FC David Berding-USA TODAY Sports

Wednesday showdown vs. Minnesota United (5 PT, Spectrum SportsNet) features two squads with important goals. The LA Galaxy want to extend their unbeaten streak to six matches while the Loons will be seeking their first ever victory at Allianz Field, the sparkling new 250 million dollar facility located on the Midway.

What to watch

We know the Galaxy are putting up impressive numbers. Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s group lead the league in points per game (2.57) and are tied for the best defense with seven goals in seven matches.

We don’t know who will get the nod for the mid-week clash. Romain Alessandrini was checked out on Monday so there’s zero chance he makes the trip, but expect Ema Boateng to appear in his place.

Equally as mysterious will be the lineup Minnesota puts out. DP midfielder Jan Gregus and Costa Rican international center back Francisco Calvo were both issued red cards in a wild match up in Toronto, while Ike Opara is questionable.
