When a severely shorthanded LA Galaxy team fell to FC Dallas by a pair of goals, the reaction from the Power Rankings politburo was swift and merciless. Despite a slew of injuries that forced Guillermo Barros Schelotto to immediately insert new signing Joe Corona into the central midfield among other issues, LA were unceremoniously dumped from the top ten.
This week the politburo has righted their wrong, restoring the blue white and gold to their proper positioning after a dominant home win over Minnesota sans two of their Designated Players. Even more encouraging, the team played...well, the stats don’t lie.

The Galaxy were good in the first half against Minnesota and their frailties came back somewhat in the second half, but the best news of all is that it appears Guillermo Barros Schelotto has a coherent, quality midfield. Now, to ensure they all stay healthy; then he can turn his attention to other parts of the field.
