Preseason is almost over. With one test remaining before LA kicks off the 2019 MLS season in a highly anticipated opening match vs. the Chicago Fire, Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s group need to put in a complete performance Saturday (8:00 PT, Spectrum Sportsnet) against a revamped Rapids unit. Better execution in the final third and a few goals should be the aim.
What to watch
Will Zlatan see any action? The 37-year old Swede has mostly been kept under wraps this preseason, notching two assists in a half of play vs. Vissel Kobe but otherwise laying low. The Galaxy have said Ibra will be available, but whether the highest paid player in the league starts or comes off the bench is up in the air.
Colorado Rapids 2.0? Entering the second year of a rebuilding phase, the quality of the squad has steadily improved since the midway point of last season when Kellyn Acosta was acquired from FC Dallas. Manager Anthony Hudson now has veteran attackers in Kei Kamara and Benny Feilhaber, a goalscorer in Diego Rubio and left back Keegan Rosenberry to work with.
Predicted starting 11

Giovani dos Santos and Sebastian Lletget are not expected to play while Perry Kitchen suffered an ankle injury earlier in the week. (Additionally Juninho hasn’t been around training lately)
