LA Galaxy continue to rise in Week 21 MLS Power Rankings

MLS: Los Angeles Galaxy at Philadelphia Union Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Galaxy are rolling. Winners of three straight and now unbeaten in seven league matches, LA have jumped another spot in this week’s Power Rankings.

Now that Sigi has his full compliment of attacking pieces available, LA have the firepower to out shoot teams, outscoring their opponents 19-9 during the unbeaten span. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unstoppable at the moment while the strong supporting cast of Chris Pontius, Romain Alessandrini, Ola Kamara and even Giovani dos Santos have done their part to ease the scoring burden off Ibra’s broad shoulders.

The Galaxy have the second-longest unbeaten streak in the league right now, and seem to have turned a corner. They’re still going to play some nervy games in the back, but if they can score three goals, they should be in good shape much of the time.
