The LA Galaxy followed up on consecutive victories with another disappointing home result as Sigi Schmid’s side were soundly defeated 3-2 by FC Dallas on Pride Night at the StubHub Center.

Sigi Schmid opted for squad rotation, as Tomas Hilliard-Arce earned his second start of the year and Daniel Steres was moved to right back. FCD almost got on the board early with Kellyn Acosta ghosting into the box and rounding David Bingham, but the keeper did well to force Acosta into a difficult position and the U.S. international pulled his shot wide.

The Galaxy managed to carve out a few chances, but it was more of the same in attack. With Zlatan up top and Ola Kamara shoehorned on the wing LA are unable to transition nor defend effectively.

FC Dallas got on the board in the 33rd minute on a beautiful passing sequence that concluded with Mauro Diaz squaring to a wide-open Ryan Hollingshead inside the box, and the midfielder calmly side-footed a finish past Bingham. Right before halftime Dallas stuck a dagger in the Galaxy’s hopes when Cristian Colman nodded down a header from close-range easy as you like and LA were down 2-0.

With the Galaxy chasing the game, Dallas added a third on the counter-attack when Carlos Gruezo got on the tail end of a breakaway.

Ibra got on the board in the 69th minute to give LA a lifeline. Romain Alessandrini struck the crossbar late and Zlatan completed his brace at the end but once again Sigi Schmid’s side were second best.
