This morning the Mexican Football Federation released their 28-man preliminary roster ahead of the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup, and as expected, both Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos were named to Juan Carlos Osorio’s squad.

Of course, the dos Santos brothers have been under scrutiny lately for failing to register much playing time with the LA Galaxy, a fact all the more glaring considering Sigi Schmid’s side have lost four straight.

Midfielders: Jonathan Dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Marco Fabian (Eintracht Frankfurt), Erick Gutierrez (Pachuca), Rafael Marquez (Atlas), Andres Guardado (Real Betis), Giovani dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Hector Herrera (FC Porto), Jesus Molina (Monterrey)
