Could the rumors surrounding Dennis te Kloese soon turn to reality?

This morning Sam Stejskal of Major League Soccer has revealed the Mexican National Team director is close to heading up north and running the organization’s soccer operations. Interestingly, two sources have also confirmed Dominic Kinnear has emerged as a serious candidate to manage the club.

And not a moment too soon. With the off season underway and the club already making personnel decisions for 2019, LA need organizational stability as soon as possible.

Did Zlatan have a hand in any of this? Stejskal had this to say.

Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been complimentary of Kinnear several times since he took over as interim manager, telling reporters at the club’s final media availability of the year that he thinks the 51-year-old should be considered for the full-time role. The sources didn’t think Ibrahimovic’s support was the driving force behind Kinnear’s emergence as a real contender for the full-time job, but, with the 37-year-old’s future in LA somewhat uncertain amid reports linking him to AC Milan and hints that he’s looking for a new contract, they acknowledged that the Swede’s endorsement could only help the former Houston and San Jose manager.
