It’s fun to watch Ola Kamara’s form translate to the international stage.
The LA Galaxy striker nabbed a brace Monday night in Nicosia as Norway defeated Cyprus in UEFA Nations League group play to top Group 3 over Bulgaria on goal difference. As a result, Lars Lagerback’s squad have been promoted to Group B for the next edition.
You could be forgiven for believing Kamara might show some off season rust, but the attacker with 14 goals in 2018 was as sharp as ever. Ola got his first shortly before the half, ghosting into the area to re-direct a headed ball across the box with the simplest of finishes.

Simple finish for the #LAGalaxy striker to get his 5th international goal, giving Norway the 1-0 lead away to #Cyprus.#CYPNOR #NationsLeague #MLS pic.twitter.com/C8z1isINzA
The Norwegian completed his brace in the 48th minute, once again sneaking into the box completely unmarked on a corner kick and chopping a close range shot past the keeper.
While neither of Kamara’s goals were particularly difficult strikes, it’s important to remember Ola is the type of striker who doesn’t play in between the lines but rather prefers to stay in the shadows and finish sequences off.
