Check out this Efrain Alvarez clip

The sky is the limit for Efrain Alvarez, as the 16-year old LA Galaxy Homegrown is just the latest star to feature in the MLS Youth Spotlight series.

Through the agonizingly short clip, viewers are treated to some of Alvarez’s top highlights in a Galaxy uniform as well as interviews from his family, his coaches and the man himself. Listening to the soft-spoken Alvarez talk about the club, you can’t help but root for the mercurial talent to succeed.

There has been considerable debate over whether Alvarez should have seen more playing time this year with the first team. (FWIW there are smart individuals on both sides of the argument so it’s more nuanced than you might think) One thing’s for sure however: We will see Alvarez make the jump in 2019.

Here at LAG Confidential we couldn’t be more excited. The kid needs playing time, and sooner rather than later.
