The second you see Giovani dos Santos waiting at the beginning of the clip, you know what’s coming.
It finally happened. This 2017 MLS season for the blue white and gold has been defined by misery, and after a 4-0 home shellacking at the hands of Toronto FC, the Galaxy are now dead last in the MLS Power Rankings.
As Matt Doyle explains, LA have hit rock-bottom. (An assertion backed up by recent reporting from Kevin Baxter and Corner of the Galaxy)
Who could’ve seen a potential league-worst season coming? If the additions of Sigi Schmid and Jonathan dos Santos couldn’t help the club change course, the issues clearly run deep. And the schedule has no mercy with three road games in seven days at Atlanta, Sporting KC and Houston.
Making things worse, an already tricky road trip has become considerably more challenging after Daniel Steres was ruled out for the season with a back injury.
This #MLS season is cursed.#LAGalaxy defender Daniel Steres is out with a back fracture. https://t.co/iyqJwyKd3K

If there’s one positive to take, Sigi has made it clear guys are playing for their jobs right now. Hopefully Schmid can generate some positive individual performances from the squad in the upcoming weeks.
