The LA Galaxy are back on the road and are set to take on the New England Revolution. But this means three points, right? Right (hopefully).
Don’t expect many changes to the starting XI, even considering the short rest and distance traveled.
Goalkeeper: Rowe
You can’t fault Brian Rowe for the goal he gave up in the 1-0 loss to Vancouver Wednesday night. It was a well placed ball of a set piece, and he got no help from his defense.
He’s going to have to just as commanding in the box, if not even a little more tonight against a tough New England Revolution side.
Defense: Romney, Van Damme, Steres, Van Anholt
There was a bit of a shocker in the lineup three nights ago. Ashley Cole moved to the midfield in order to allow Dave Romney to stay in the starting XI. And, well, it kinda worked.
But with Jermaine Jones getting healthier, will Cole stay in the midfield? We’ll have to wait and see.
Midfield: Cole, Pedro
It worked well last time around, so why not leave the midfield as is?
Attacking Midfield: Boateng, Dos Santos, Alessandrini
If Giovani dos Santos plays like he did against Manchester United, the front three could be one of the best in the league. But dos Santos needs to step his game up to another level.
Forward: McBean
Yes, it’ll be on short rest, but you have to continue to give this youngster minutes. Jack McBean played well at a times, and should have scored early against the Whitecap. This will also be a good test, going on the road, on a surface that is one of the worst in all MLS.
