Following their win over Orlando City last week, the LA Galaxy travel to Kansas City to take on Sporting KC.
Historically, the Galaxy have found trips to Kansas City difficult to deal with. Bruce Arena’s side have been unable to win in Kansas City since 2007.
Sporting KC, however, aren’t coming off their best run of games. They have just one win in their last five games, and their last match ended in a 2-1 defeat to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the CONCACAF Champions League.
In contrast, the Galaxy are unbeaten in their last five league games, and Giovani dos Santos is in something of a tear. The Mexican forward has scored seven goals and notched three assists in his last seven league games.
With the playoffs within touching distance, for the Galaxy a positive result in Kansas City could go a long way towards gaining some home-field advantage in the postseason.
