LA Galaxy's Giovani dos Santos voted MLS Player of the Week

After a two-goal performance in the LA Galaxy's 4-1 win over the Houston Dynamo, Giovani dos Santos was voted as MLS player of the Week for Week 7.

Giovani offered an instant reply by scoring the equalizer after the Galaxy had gone 1-0 down on just a minute of play. He then found the net a second time by firing home from an excellent Steven Gerrard cross to score the 3-1.

In scoring twice against the Dynamo, Giovani had his first multiple-goal game of his MLS career.

Giovani was playing only his second game of the season after missing three straight games with a left leg injury.

The Galaxy will hope this is seen as a turning point in dos Santos' form, and the Mexican forward can find his feet again as Bruce Arena's men play hosts to the undefeated Real Salt Lake at StubHub Center this Saturday.
