LA Galaxy add closed-door scrimmage against Sounders to close preseason

Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

The LA Galaxy will continue their preparation for their big CONCACAF Champions League clash against Santos Laguna as they take on the Seattle Sounders in a closed-door scrimmage this Wednesday.

Having beat the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada, Bruce Arena's men take the StubHub Center field for the last time this preseason.

The Sounders, who have lost all three of their preseason games, are also getting ready for their own CCL clash against Club America on February 23. That's all the more relevant here, with both teams having fitness and preparation at the top of their agendas.

Among Galaxy's newest signings, Nigel de Jong played 53 minutes in the victory against the Earthquakes and will be officially presented in front of media on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Sounders will have to cope with the likely departure of striker Obafemi Martins. The player isn't at the Sounders' training camp and is said to be on his way to the Chinese Super League.

Unlike Saturday *sigh*, the game is expected to be streamed live on
