EA Sports debuted a gameplay trailer at E3 that combines two of my favorite things: the star of the BBC series Luther Idris Elba and soccer. Unsurprisingly MLS doesn't feature in this trailer, which focuses mostly on current English Premier League champions Manchester City and current team that Messi plays on FC Barcelona.
Reading through the new feature list, most of the changes seem like the same thing we hear every year: better handling, better facial detail, more immersive environments. Emotional intelligence seems like it'll add a lot of realism if it works, and tackling with the intent to gain possession will be nicer than the toe pokes to nowhere that can happen now.
However while adding the option to Park the Bus will certainly add realism, no one likes parked buses. Except bus drivers. That's when they get to drink coffee and read the paper. And I already get super frustrated when I feel FIFA is increasing difficulty by playing twenty men behind the ball and not like being better at passing.
