According to Ives Galarcep at Goal.com, sources have confirmed the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders have passed on Erick "Cubo" Torres, with the 20 year-old MLS All-Star and El Tri up and comer now negotiating with the Houston Dynamo, who have agreed to pay the $7.5 million transfer fee.
As fun as it would have been to watch Cubo scoring goals in a Galaxy uniform, Torres was always more of a want than a need. LA needs midfielders, not forwards.
And as Adam Serrano points out, LA didn't develop Gyasi Zardes for nothing.
#LAGalaxy passing on a chance to take Cubo Torres makes perfect sense. Galaxy invested in Gyasi Zardes who also has a very high ceiling.

Do you think the Galaxy could have used Cubo?
