Adonis Amaya continued his torrid pace for the LA Galaxy U-18s. Amaya scored twice in the U-18s 3-0 win on Saturday over the San Juan Soccer Club at Field #5 at StubHub Center. Ryo Fujii also scored in the match.
Amaya, one of the players to switch from the Chivas USA Academy to the LA Galaxy Academy, has scored 14 times in 13 matches this season. Fujii also made the move from Chivas and has scored a goal in back-to-back matches.
The Galaxy U-18s are now 9-3-2 on the season, with two consecutive wins after a 1-2 record in December. The U-18s will return to U.S. Soccer Development Academy action on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9 with home matches against the Vancouver Whitecaps and Crossfire Premier, respectively.
The Galaxy U-16s also played the San Juan Academy on Saturday and won 4-0. The U-16s are still undefeated on the 2013-2014 USSDA season at 10-0-4.
