The U.S. U-17s have been rolling of late and LA Galaxy Academy forward Haji Wright has been a big part of the success. After scoring five goals last month in the Nike International Friendlies, Wright scored the game-winning goal in the Aegean Cup on Saturday. The United States defeated the host nation Turkey 2-1 on the strength of goals by Joe Gallardo (53rd minute) and Wright (55th minute).

Highlights of the Aegean Cup final match can be seen below:

Wright's goal starts at the 2:02 mark. Wright made a great run into the penalty area through two defenders and buried his own rebound.

Although the goal was the only tally of the Aegean Cup for Wright, his Golden Boot performance in December created enough buzz around the young forward to have his name shopped to German clubs by his agent. It's worth noting that Wright has not yet been offered a contract as a Homegrown Player.
