LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena has promised a "foreign wide midfielder" signing but nothing has been made official yet. The latest foreign transfer rumor is that the Galaxy are interested in IF Elfsborg's midfielder Stefan Ishizaki.
Before even reading (meaning Google translating Swedish) the articles that are out there, does Ishizaki meet the criteria?
-Foreign? Check!
-Wide Midfielder? Check!
Okay, so what does the article say? "Ishi" has a year left on his contract with IF Elfsborg and that his team won't comment on anything other than the fact that conversations are happening. But, Bruce Arena said the signing was complete so now what?
Galaxy insider Adam Serrano pointed to an article from the source which broke the move of Swedish international Christian Wilhelmsson's move to the Galaxy. That article says IF Elfsborg has not had a good year financially and could look to part with Ishizaki early. The article also referenced some unrest from the midfielder and a willingness to try something new.
Conclusion: leave a comment below because I'm pretty sure that I'm almost sure Ishizaki will be Foreign Wide Midfielder. Also, I'm pretty sure that's Ishizaki is that tall gentleman in the back of the picture above.
