The 2014 MLS SuperDraft hasn't kicked off yet, but Bruce Arena has already made a splash telling Steven Goff that he has signed a foreign wide midfielder to be announced sometime next week. This offseason Arena has already lived up to promises to bring in a pair of target forwards, and for him to say signed means there is likely a signature already.

A cursory internet search turned up no rumors, but expect this to be one that gets reported in the foreign press first. Counting up the available international spots, the Galaxy would be down to four remaining from last season if Carlo Cudicini is no longer on the roster. The three foreign signings would bring LA up to seven, which is their limit having traded a spot to the Colorado Rapids.

With the LA Galaxy trading down in the MLS SuperDraft, don't expect the draft pick to be an immediate contributor. It's likely the pick might not even address a need and simply be the most talented player left on the board when pick 23 rolls around.
