United States vs. Mexico: Omar Gonzalez in starting lineup again

New, 32 comments

The United States will be benefiting from the services of the LA Galaxy's Omar Gonzalez once again. They're going up against their biggest rival in Mexico tonight.

USA TODAY Sports

The LA Galaxy's Omar Gonzalez starts again as the United States looks to find points in the Azteca. It's not something that has come easy for the US, but Gonzalez has been a big part in solidifying the back line and keeping balls out of the US goal.

As reported by Steven Goff, the lineup is essentially the same as defeated Costa Rica 1-0, but with Sporting Kansas City's Matt Besler replacing Clarence Goodson and Maurice Edu replacing injured Jermaine Jones.

The match will be broadcast on ESPN at 7:30, with an hour long prematch show. CONCACAF's biggest soccer rivalry always produces some memorable moments, so if you're not tuning in I'm just confused.
