The LA Galaxy managed to walk out of Columbus with a post, after Robbie Keane's equalizer gave them the draw against the Columbus Crew 1-1. The Galaxy are now level with Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps [Whitecaps currently trail FC Dallas 2-0] in the standings (in third place on goals for). The Galaxy are off this weekend as they prepare for the upcoming CONCACAF Champions League slate.

In the 64' Sean Franklin made a great run around his defender into the penalty area, then sent in a roller to Keane that Robbie Keane smashed into the back of the net; equalizing for the Galaxy. Marcelo Sarvas sent in the through ball to Franklin that started the whole play.

Jairro Arrieta scored the lone Columbus goal, with both coming after halftime. Arrieta's shot came from well outside the box, and Josh Saunders was able to get a hand to it but not keep it out. Otherwise, Saunders was fantastic throughout the match.

Next up for the Galaxy are the first two matches of CONCACAF Champions League player, on Thursday against Isidro Metapan and then Wednesday against Puerto Rico Islanders, both at The Home Depot Center. In between they'll have a match against FC Dallas on Sunday.
