LA Galaxy offer Frank Lampard $20 Million for 2 years! (Really!)
It's actually legit!
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has been offered a £20million two-year deal to link up with David Beckham at LA Galaxy.
The European champions may even be willing to let Lampard go on a free transfer, to save them £9m he is due over the remaining 12 months of his Stamford Bridge deal.
Sources in Los Angeles have indicated that a more favourable tax rate and the security of a two-year deal have tempted Lampard, whose TV star fiancee Christine Bleakley is also said to fancy moving to California.
Changes in MLS rules mean that clubs are now able to sign more than one marquee player and cash-rich Galaxy are making a serious play forLampard, 34.
He earns £7m a year at Chelsea and is due a £1.75m loyalty bonus at the end of his current deal next June.
Galaxy would match that bonus with a signing-on fee and pay him a salary which would equal his Chelsea agreement, after tax, plus an extra year.

This of course would mean LA Galaxy would have to rid themselves of one of their DP's (Designated Players), who are marquee players that an MLS team can sign with more expensive contracts. At this point of the season, it looks like that will be Landon Donovan: There was a rumor last month that MLS reached a financial deal with Everton, Phil Neville is in Los Angeles, and now Donovan is selling his house. Doubt it's a coincidence.
Sources confirmed AEG is in advanced discussions with Lampard's reps.

So how's about that guys? Frank LAmpard in Galaxy Blue and Gold? Here are the lyrics to our favorite goal song; "This is LA" by The Briggs:
This is L.A.
Our city our home.
Los Angeles,
We never walk alone.
Forever true we'll stay
In tribute to our city,
No matter where we go
This is our home.
On the sunset strip,
The devil's hard at work.
If you wanna play you gotta pay you know
To keep the clubs from going under.
That's the price to grace the floor
As every fool before.
Underneath the haze
In the streets of this maze
All the way from the 10 to the 5 to the 134.
These streets are nothing but a parking lot
But I don't care 'cause I'm not going anywhere.
[Chorus]
It's 2AM again, when will I ever learn.
If those warm winds blow me home tonight
I'll have a place to lay my head
I'll leave my troubles at the foot of my bed.
On the west coast shore,
It's been far too long.
So what if I got no money in my pockets.
I'll always stand up strong,
'Cause I'm in the city where I belong.
[Chorus x3]
