With the LA Galaxy set to take on the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, the Thursday practice is a nice preview before the Friday injury report update. As of Tuesday, AJ DeLaGarza was still listed as questionable with a right adductor strain. The adductors being inner muscles on your upper thigh to hip, below the groin. David Beckham (back) and Michael Stephens (right ankle sprain) were also questionable. But AJ at least was out at practice today:

Thanks Luis! Over on the Rapids side, the Galaxy have dodged a bullet as Conor Casey (who was listed questionable with a left achilles tear) did not practice with Colorado. That tear took Casey out of competition in July of last year, blaming it on Seattle's FieldTurf. His injury has healed, but he was held from practice this week with strep throat.
chrisdbianchi No Casey for Saturday, Coach Pareja told me. No shocker. Full update, including how to get him back on pitch coming up later today 4/19/12 10:38 AM |
With Casey out, Omar Cummings is leading Colorado's goal category with two. Not that the Galaxy have done much better, there's Robbie Keane with three, and then a bunch of ones.
So, what do you think? Like the Galaxy's chances on Saturday? Or are you waiting to see if David Beckham makes it to Commerce City before jumping to any conclusions?
