Ahead of Sunday's tilt between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders with a spot in MLS Cup on the line, the teams have released their updated injury reports. Unfortunately for Galaxy fans, there's little change as the injuries from last Sunday continue to follow the team through the week.
Edson Buddle, who was unfit for last Sunday's match, is still listed as questionable with left plantar fascitis, inflammation of the bottom of the foot. Landon Donovan feel to the pitch on Sunday with hamstring tightness and remains on the injury report as a result. Juninho, who had to leave the match at halftime after getting kicked is still listed as questionable with right achilles inflammation.
A.J. DeLaGarza, who is still listed as out with a left knee sprain, practiced with the team this week and hopes to be available should the Galaxy move on to MLS Cup.
Seattle are dealing with their own injuries. Mauro Rosales, Leo Gonzalez, and Patrick Ianni are all still listed as questionable; between them the Sounders got 78 appearances this year, but only Mauro Rosales has made a playoff appearance and he's been out since the first leg with Real Salt Lake.
If Juninho is unavailable for Sunday, his services could be replaced by Marcelo Sarvas. Edson Buddle is addition by subtraction. That just leaves Landon Donovan, whose playmaking ability will be missed but the recent play of Christian Wilhelmsson is encouraging on that front. Bruce Arena could start Mike Magee up top, then stuff the midfield with Sarvas, Beckham, Wilhelmsson, and Stephens.
