After a thrilling 4-3 win over the Las Vegas Lights, the LA Galaxy II begins a back-to-back at Orange County SC with games on Wednesday and Saturday that could be consequential in the standings in Group B of the USL Championship.

Los Dos and OCSC both sit at 15 points on eight games each. It’s a big opportunity for LA Galaxy II to put themselves in a good position to make the playoffs by finishing in the top two of the group.

LA’s looking to ride its two-game win streak where Los Dos outscored its opponents (Timbers 2 and the Lights) 7-5. Orange County has done well to keep its opponents at bay, allowing just five goals in the seven games the club has played since the resumption of play in July. It’s a matchup of a team in LA that plays high-scoring games and an Orange County side that doesn’t need many goals to win. Los Dos will need to take care of its chances when they get them.

Orange County is coming off of a bit of a slump, losing to Las Vegas and drawing with San Diego in its previous two matches after going on a four-game winning streak.

The last time these two met, on Aug. 22, Orange County got the best of Los Dos with a 2-1 win at Dignity Health Sports Park. It was a somewhat even match with Los Dos possessing the ball more but being outshot by 8-4 shots on target.

Wednesday’s and Saturday’s matches kick off at 7 p.m. in Irvine, California, and are available to watch on ESPN+.
