The LA Galaxy announced Thursday that their first game in the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando, on Monday against the Portland Timbers, will have a drive-in viewing party for fans at the Rose Bowl.

The club will display the game, scheduled to kick off at 7:30 pm PT Monday, in a “unique cinematic experience” with fans able to watch the game from inside their vehicles. And every vehicle in attendance is promised a team bandanna and pin of Mauricio Cienfuegos to celebrate the 2002 MLS Cup win.

It sounds like it will be pretty busy, so if you want to go, don’t dawdle. I’ve never been to a drive-in sports watch, but when I was a new parent we used to go to drive-in movies because it was the only way I could watch movies outside of my house for about two years. And to have this be a communal experience in very constrained circumstances is pretty cool.
