By the time noon arrived, the first domino had fallen.
With the LA Galaxy front office in need to cash to finalize the Cristian Pavón transfer, Emmanuel Boateng has been traded to D.C. United for what is now being reported as $250,000 in Targeted Allocation Money (TAM).
Rumors have circulated as to what LA’s next move will be, but it turns out the club might not be moving a player but rather cold hard cash. Corner of the Galaxy’s Josh Guesman has revealed the Galaxy are likely to exchange allocation cash with Orlando City. (Update: LA sent $136,220 of GAM to Orlando City in exchange for $136,220 of TAM)

Galaxy will be trading cash for cash with Orlando City.
I’m guessing it will be GAM for TAM. But Orlando will be the team.#LAGalaxy #MLS
While it is unknown if the Galaxy will have the flexibility to sign the Argentine winger at that point, LA will welcome any oppurtunity that allows Guillermo Barros Schelotto to keep the roster intact. By the end of the day the full story should come out, but for now details are still scarce.
We will continue to monitor #PavonWatch as it develops.
