Zlatan Ibrahimovic wins Player of the Week honors

Just another week for Ibra

MLS: Seattle Sounders FC at LA Galaxy Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The Lion of Los Angeles was a clutch performer this week, bagging a brace against FC Dallas in mid-week action and pulling off the same feat on Saturday as a 10 man LA Galaxy fought back to earn a draw vs. the Seattle Sounders. For his efforts, the big Swede was voted the MLS Player of the Week for the 24th week of the 2019 season.

By recording back to back braces, Zlatan is up to 20 goals this campaign, just behind Josef Martinez and within striking distance of Carlos Vela.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season through both media and fan voting in a process conducted by MLS Communications. A panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) comprises 75 percent of the vote, while a Twitter fan vote represents the remaining 25 percent of voting. NASR consists of members of print, television, radio and online media.
