The secondary transfer window may have closed recently, but the work of rebuilding and strengthening the squad continues for Dennis te Kloese and company.
Rotterdam outlet Algemeen Dagblad is one of several local papers reporting the LA Galaxy have acquired 22-year old Calvin Verdonk from Feyenoord. The Dutch left back was previously a regular on several Netherlands youth squads but is currently third on the depth chart behind Ridgeciano Haps and Tyrell Malacia and looking for a fresh start.
This evening Calvin Verdonk was still on the bench at Feyenoord, which played a draw against Dinamo in Tbilisi. More than an hour and a half after the last whistle, his transition to FC Twente became known to the world, after which the defender made the switch to LA Galaxy on 1 January. At that club he becomes a teammate of none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Allegedly Verdonk has been loaned to FC Twente and will officially join the club in January of 2020. What do you think of the potential move?
