With the news Dennis te Kloese and the LA Galaxy organization plan on signing an attacking reinforcement before the May 7th transfer deadline, it’s not surprising a name has found its way into the rumor mill.
Several reports out of Argentina claim the Galaxy are in advanced talks to bring Favio Álvarez to LA on loan from Atlético Tucumán. According to local reporter Mariano Carabajal, Alvarez is set to sign a six month loan with the club. Alvarez was also absent from today’s training session.

An attacking midfielder by trade, the 26-year old has the potential to bring the decisiveness to the final third LA have been sorely lacking this season. Whether Guillermo Barros Schelotto plans to deploy Alvarez as a winger or a central playmaker, adding the Argentine to the roster could go a long way towards balancing the attack.
