MLS: Vancouver Whitecaps at Los Angeles Galaxy Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

With three wins in three home matches, the LA Galaxy have done well to pick up results in the early going as a team fielding several new starters continues to learn Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s methods. However LA’s lone defeat so far this season came on the road when an injury-plagued Galaxy succumbed to FC Dallas.

Can Zlatan and company (Yes Zlatan, ye who doesn’t play on artificial turf) reverse the trend Friday night up in Vancouver? (7 PT, SSN)

What to watch

Is the Lion of Los Angeles roaming on fake grass again? That’d be a yes.

LA Galaxy

Who are the Vancouver Whitecaps? After gutting much of their roster and hiring the highly regarded Marc dos Santos to right the ship, the Caps are going through a rebuilding phase. Featuring unknowns like Iraq international left back Ali Adnan and Spanish defensive midfielder Jon Erice, Vancouver have yet to record a win but nonetheless have improved with each match: Last week the Whitecaps held the red-hot Seattle Sounders to a scoreless draw.

Also one to watch: 22-year old South Korean playmaker Inbeom Hwang.

Predicted starting 11
