Ever since Dennis te Kloese has taken the helm as the de facto leader of the LA Galaxy, you get the impression the general manager hasn’t wasted a second scouting reinforcements.

That dedication appears to have paid off. Multiple sources have revealed to Yahoo Sports’ Doug McIntyre that Club Tijuana midfielder Joe Corona has agreed in principle to join the Galaxy. The club currently hold the MLS rights of the Mexican-American, who may be available for LA’s road match this Saturday vs. FC Dallas. Kevin Baxter at the LA Times has also learned Corona will be signed on a free transfer using TAM funds, solid business for the club if true.

After seeing little playing time for Oscar Pareja’s Xolos, the two-time Liga MX Apertura winner had been seeking a move to MLS: Last month Corona was also rumored to be coming stateside.

What do you think of what appears to be a done deal?
