Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s first test as the new manager was a successful one, as a LA Galaxy squad gearing up for the regular season topped Japanese club Vissel Kobe 4-1 Tuesday morning at the DHSP Track and Field stadium.
In the first 30 minute session, LA put out a strong lineup with David Bingham in goal, Jorgen Skjelvic as a left back, Dave Romney and Daniel Steres centrally and academy product Julian Araujo on the right. Sebastian Lletget and Jonathan dos Santos were paired in the middle of the park, Romain Alessandrini and Uriel Antuna on the wings and Ola Kamara with Zlatan Ibrahimovic up top.
Ola Kamara scored a brace with Zlatan assisting on both before an Vissel Kobe own goal gave LA a 3-0 lead. Vissel pulled one back while Bingham made an incredible double stop on Andres Iniesta in the second 30 minute session before wholesale changes were made to the lineup.
